Mich has been a lover of all forms of dance since she was a child and took ballet, jazz and Scottish Country Dance lessons for a number of years. She gave up dancing in her early twenties following a car accident and, after over a decade of stasis, discovered yoga. During her yoga journey, Mich found herself attracted to the grace and precision of Pilates and, embarking on a new career path, trained to teach both yoga and Pilates as well as ballet barre. Mich has trained in Pre and Post Natal Pilates, Pilates for Osteoporosis, Pilates for Spinal Injuries, Pilates with Props, Level 3 Advanced Mat Work, Reformer 1 & 2, Pilates at the Barre and BarreConcept. In 2014, and keen to get back into dancing, Mich stumbled across a pole fitness class and a new addiction was born. She did the Xpert Pole Fitness Level 1&2 training in 2016 (and also completed the Active IQ Level 2 QCF Award in instructing) and frequently takes part in pole competitions. She has taken home gold in Pole Dance Ireland Princess, first place in Pole Theatre Ireland (Comedy) and a silver and a bronze in the All Ireland Pole Dance Championships in the Over 40s category. She can frequently be heard telling people “Liquid Motion has changed my life!”—and it really has! She’s very excited to bring the fluidity, magic and pure joy of Liquid Motion to her classes.
