Hey! My name is Tameka. I am active duty Air force and a pole/aerial fitness instructor. Pole and aerial is my passion. I was first introduced to Pole Fitness about January 2014 when I was looking for a new way of getting into shape. Everything that I had done up until that point didn’t excite me enough. I found the only studio in Valdosta, Ga that offered pole fitness. Well, long story short, I've been addicted ever since. I fell in love with the strength side of pole fitness, but most of all I enjoy the confidence it has given me inside and out. It's a place where you can leave your thoughts and worries at the door and express yourself through dance. The confidence it has given me outside of class was surprising. I thought I was just getting a really good workout in, but the confidence I have received from dancing at the few studios I've been a part of has been applied into my everyday life and I didn't even know it at first. It hasn't been easy and I am still learning to be a strong, sensual and confident woman. Recently, I've found a new love in the form of aerial fitness. I haven't decided which I love more the fabrics or the lyra. The pole and aerial community is the most caring and encouraging community I've ever been a part of. Everyone that I've encounter has been nothing but positive and helpful with my pole/aerial journey. I can't wait to see what the future holds for my pole/aerial life. My future goal is to compete in Pole Con one day but now I get my excitement from learning from other instructors and teaching all you lovely ladies and awesome men. I encourage all women and men to give this sport a try and to not let others hold you back on being adventurous and doing something for yourself. I am currently teaching silks, lyra, pole and now Liquid Motion at Vertical Pole Studio in Navarre, Florida.
